Introducing

Our Farming Practices

Shaped by the soils and sea breezes of the Geelong region, our olives are grown with care and respect for the land.

At Geelong Region Olives we believe that the source of creating a healthy and great tasting oil comes from nurturing the land that we are so fortunate to steward. We take a holistic approach to naturally improving the soil and continually striving to nurture nature.

Nurturing the Land

We use rotational sheep grazing to naturally manage grass while fertilising the trees. Tree prunings are mulched, composted, and returned beneath the trees to restore organic matter to the soil, while organic liquid compost is applied to both foliage and ground to support healthy soil biology and beneficial fungi. Native plantings throughout the grove help encourage biodiversity and create a balanced ecosystem.

From Grove to Press

During cold‑press processing, olive pulp is composted on site and the olive pits are repurposed as fuel to power the processing machinery, ensuring the by‑products of harvest are reused rather than wasted.

Sustainable Operations

Our oil storage facility and office operate using solar energy and captured rainwater, helping reduce environmental impact while supporting efficient production.

Closing the Loop

We operate a zero‑waste refill system with the restaurants we supply, and customers can also refill their olive oil bottles at our market stalls.
